Sex Magick, p.3 Afterwards
Alternatives to Sex Magick
[Not only genital sex, but] oral sex also is a good opportunity for magick. Talk with each other and tell your partner how to do you right. It's important to talk; otherwise your partner may have no way of knowing the best way. Whether as foreplay or as a separate activity, the one doing it transfers energy into the recipient's body. Addenda; Miscellaneous Notes
I've emphasized simultaneous orgasm as a goal, but it's not essential. You can do good sex magick without it. It's important not to worry too much about it [because that would be negative or distracting]. In fact, Tantric masters do much sex magick without having orgasm at all. in this way they preserve jing. In "fuck and make a wish" sex it is of course preferable to orgasm because that is the point where you release the symbol or wish. On the other hand, if you are doing the chakra-aligning, energy-building kind of sex magick, it can be desirable to send theenergy up to the top of the series of chakras but not all the way out; you approach orgasm but hold back. Some practitioners claim that a condom insulates the man from the woman in regard to energy transfer. I disagree. Spiritual energy is non-material and goes right through regardless of a condom. Sex magick can be used to purge bad emotion. But resolve the problems [in your relationship] first and then do sex magick; don't bring anything negative into your practice of magick. Thus, for example, you shoud not try magick in "make-up sex", but it's OK to use sex magick to purge negativity from past problems. There is much more beyond what is covered in this lecture, on positions and techniques, on Tantric theory, etc.. I'll conclude with remarks on some books... [At this point Kain briefly discussed and passed around some books on sex magick that he had brought and then concluded the lecture.]
Recommended Reading Charles S. Clifton. Witchcraft Today (The Modern Craft Movement, Book One). Has just one chapter on sex magick. [ancient Indian authors]. Kama Sutra.
Margo Anand. The Art of Sexual Magick. Kain had some criticism of this book but said that it was basically a good one. Aleister Crowley. [titles = ?]. Kain said that Crowley was also a source on sex magick, but that his version is considered by some to be "warped". Sex
