Resident Assistant Association

Welcome to the Resident Assistant Association of the University of Texas at Austin! On behalf of all of our members, we would like to extend a warm welcome to you and thank you for your interest in our organization.

RAA was created in the fall of 2005 to give the Resident Assistants of the University of Texas at Austin a bigger voice in the University, its operations, and its policies. The vision of RAA is to enable Resident Assistants to take ownership of their position while developing pride and leadership skills.

Mission Statement: The Resident Assistant Association is a representative assembly composed of Resident Assistants from across the Division of Housing and Food Services residence halls located at The University of Texas at Austin. The Resident Assistant Association promotes communication with Division of Housing and Food Services staff, Residence Hall Councils and University departments. The Resident Assistant Association was created to ensure cooperation, coordination, cohesion and communication between staffs in the residence hall community and University officials, specifically the Division of Housing and Food Services.
