Citizen's Affairs
- This committee serves as a liason between the campus
community and the Austin community. The group tackles projects like
voter registration drives and representation of student issues in the
Austin City Council.

Fundraising
- In order to support various projects and approprations,
the Fundraising committee works with the Financial Directors to create
and execute fundraising projects.

Membership
- To make Student Government more personal and more approachable to students at The University.

Student Services
- Oversees policies regarding student services on campus.
This includes but is not limited to the University Health Services, the
UT Library system, the Shuttle Bus system, Student Financial Services,
The Daily Texan, Legal Services for Students, Recreational Sports,
student Radio and Television, the Ombudsman, the Volunteer Center and
any other services offered to students.

Undergraduate Teaching Excellence
- This committee works with the Deans of various colleges
to improve the efficacy of teacher evaluations, helps students to resolve
issues related to teaching quality, and also coordinates with the Center
for Teaching Effectiveness to qualify Teaching Assistants.

University Policy
- Interacts directly with the Adminstration to impact
campus policies that affect students. This includes such issues as
parking, safety, and access to facilities.

Communications
- Supplies information about Student Government events to
students, student groups, and the campus community. The Agency is also
responsible for providing publicity for all other parts of Student
Government.

Freshman Leadership Organization
- Introduces freshman to Student Government and other
campus organizations. Assists new students by providing mentors, activities,
and social outings.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally Affairs Agency
- This agency is resource center for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
and transgender students and their allies.

Information Technology
- Manages the Student Government website and office computers.
Provides technology consulting and training to student organizations and the
student body.

Legislative Relations
- Links students to the Texas Legislature by providing
information to both students and government officials. Makes informed
recommendations in issues concerning higher education.

Student Forum
- Brings current issues to students' attention through
debates, information sessions, or other programs.

Students with Disabilities
- Works to provide information and projects in regard
to disability services on the UT campus.

Students United for Rape Elimination
- S.U.R.E. Walk provides a free escort to students leaving either of the
major campus libraries after dark.

Students Acting Against Sexual Assault
- SAASA
is devoted to raising awareness of sexual assault issues through
education. We plan and promote Sexual Assault Awareness Week, offer free
self-defense workshops, and present a peer education program for any
interested UT organization.

Transportation
- The Transportation Agency is responsible for
analyzing the UT Shuttle Bus system and recommending changes in
the contract with Capitol Metro. To this end, the Directors of
this Agency are also appointed to serve on the Shuttle Bus Committee.

Women's Resource Center
- This agency offers a centralized base of referral
information, provides outreach programs and other services. The WRC aims
to increase awareness of the importance of gender issues, especially
women's issues.
