Practice
We practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays out at Lake Travis. We first meet in north campus at 2:00 so we can car pool out to the lake. Directions to the meeting place and the practice site are below.
Directions to the meeting place for practice
The team meets for practice at Brett and James's house, right off the Number One Bus route. Simply take the bus and get off at the stop at 34th and Guadalupe. The bus picks up at 23rd, 26th, and 27th and Guadalupe.
Directions to Austin Yacht Club where we practice
- Start at Brett and James's
- Head toward Mopac (Loop 1) on 35th
- turn right on TX-1 North also known as Mopac and go North
- take the FM 2222 exit
- take a left at the stop light
- go a short ways and veer right down a hill
- continue on another 8 miles
- turn left on FM 620 and go 5 miles
- turn right onto Hudson Bend rd and go 1 mile
- turn right onto Beacon Dr and go 1 mile
- the road dead ends into the yacht club
