Since SECL is student run, alot of work is required to fundraise enough money to bring the best speakers we can, asides from all the other work required to bring in the speaker.
However, all students have a chance to help out in this effort. When you register for classes next semester, you will have a choice to buy your sports package, a cactus yearbook, and most important to us, the Dollars for Scholars Donation.
This is merely a two dollar donation that goes along way to helping SECL provide the best quality speakers for UT.
For the students that do provide us with this small donation, SECL is happy to give those students up todate news on our upcoming speakers, and even preferential tickets to small lectures that our speakers may do before the large lecture.
Please take the time next time you register for classes, and donate to Dollars for Scholars, because of you, SECL will continue to work harder each semester to bring the best lectures to campus.
