Apr 1 2008 Events - Not in the Name of God: Questioning 60 Years of Israeli State's Atrocities
The Society for Islamic Awareness (SIA), the Middle Eastern Cultural Club (MECC) and the Campus Antiwar Movement to End the Occupation (CAMEO) are inviting Rabbi Dovid Weiss for a lecture-talk discussing the Palestine-Israel issue.

Date: Wednesday, April 2, 2008
Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location: UTC 4.132

Rabbi Weiss is the son of Hungarian Jewish Holocaust survivors. He is part of the organization called Jews United Against Zionism.

He is an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi who has lived in Israel and passionately denounces the Israeli state's atrocities over the last sixty years that have affected Muslims, Jews, and Christians all over the world. The Rabbi provides an alternate perspective on the role of religion and nationalistic politics that is often missing from the mainstream public and policy discourse.

The talk will be followed by a Question/Answer session.
