Announcements - Muslim Voices Release Ceremony
Muslim Voices Issue II is finally here! Join us for the ceremony in celebration of the release of this long awaited magazine.

The ceremony will be this Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Texas Union, Sinclair Suite (Room 3.128).

Be sure to bring your friends and family. We hope to see you there!

Refreshments and H'our Dourves will be served!

Announcements - Muslim Voices Meeting THIS MONDAY!
Eager to get started on Muslim Voices magazine development? We're having our first MV meeting of the semester, Inshallah, this Monday September 24th, at 3 pm at the 4th floor of the Texas Union. It'll be at the table near the 5th floor prayer area.

We'll be meeting about ...

• a possible theme for the magazine this semester,
• start team development,
• and getting publicity efforts underway (gotta get the word out about the Muslim magazine on campus!).

We look forward to your valuable suggestions for the upcoming issue 2 of MV!

Announcements - Welcome Back!

Welcome back to our beautiful UT, Austin! Hope you had a great first day of classes :). We’re looking forward to an exciting fall semester as we hope to expand the Muslim Voices magazine further into an even better second issue while continuing our quest to foster education and awareness about Islam, both among ourselves and with our larger UT community, InshAllah. Be sure to check back on the website for notices about SIA’s activities this semester.

Announcements - Muslim Voices Release!
Last year, SIA began the Muslim Voices magazine project to provide a platform to UT Muslim students to express themselves and connect with each other and to inform the general readers about the expressions and experiences of Muslims in the West.

We are glad to announce that this Wednesday, May 3 we will be holding the release ceremony of Muslim Voices. The event will be from 6-7 pm in the Texas Union Eastwoods Room (2.102).

We hope you can make it to the Release, as this will be a chance to pick up a copy of the magazine, find out more about the organizers and how everything was put together, and hear some of the works featured in the magazine. If you would like to learn more about the magazine, check out the Muslim Voices portion of our website.

Announcements - SIA Gathering this Friday!
God willing, SIA will be having a general body meeting this coming Friday!

When: this Friday, April 7
Where: MEZ 2.124
Time: 5pm

Program: We'll start off with recitation of Quran and an excerpt from a powerful supplication. This will be followed by good food, a selection of interesting video clips, a review of SIA's activities and a discussion on new horizons to explore in future. Got ideas ? Have any thoughts about Islamic activities/issues on this campus or in general? Came out and share your ideas!

A Sit-in Denouncing the Loss of Human Lives and the Sacrilege of Holy Sites in Iraq

Austin, Texas – February 28, 2006 – The Muslim community at the University of Texas and from all around Austin will gather on March 3, at 6:30 p.m., at the Main Mall (UT) for a sit-in.
