Nahjul Balagahah, or the Peak of Eloquence, is a collection of the sermons, epistles and sayings of Imam Ali (as). His personality, character, behavior, knowledge, and faith are depicted in the sayings and sermons embodied in this book. Nahj al-Balagha contains over 200 sermons de ali ng with a wide variety of topics including human existence, the relationship with the Almighty, building a God-fearing person ali ty, and the Imam 's (a) reflections upon historical incidents. It deals with three basic dimensions of Islam: practice or the Shari'ah, faith (including doctrine and intellectual teachings), and spirituality. Nahjul Balagahah brings together saying on all sorts of matters, from metaphysical to the nature of correct government. The book was compiled by Sayyid ar-Radi about a thousand years ago and became the valued text for studies in Islamic institutes to the present day.
