Type: Beliefs and Practices
This title was the first in the series of three books dealing with Shi'ism that were written from a Shia point of view. The book seeks to clarify the true identity of Shia Islam. It deals in particular with the way Shi'ism originated and later developed, with the type of religious thought present in Shi'ism, and with the Islamic sciences and culture as seen from the Shiite perspective. The book also addresses the topics of Tawheed (Knowledge of God), Prophethood, the Imams, and Eschatology (death and resurrection) as well as Taqaya (dissimulation of faith), Mutah (Fixed-term marriage), and ritual practices in Shi'ism.
