We want you to join Texas Sweethearts! We hope this page will help guide you with the application process.
We seek ladies who exhibit scholarship, leadership and commitment to service. As a member, you will gain opportunities to lead, serve, and support the Austin community and University of Texas athletics. To fully experience the rewards of our organization, members are encouraged to make a substantial time commitment. Please consider this during the application process.
Requirements:
In order to be considered for Texas Sweethearts, you must be a registered University of Texas student with a GPA of 2.5 or above.
To apply, you must attend one of the three offered information sessions as well as one of the three offered Smokers. Smokers are meet and greet events where prospective members can interact and socialize with active members.
Recruitment Dates for Spring 2010:
- Monday, January 25th - Info Session 1 @ 6pm. Location TBA
- Thursday, January 28th - Info Session 2 @ 6pm. Location TBA
- Monday, February 1st - Info Session 3 @ 6pm. Location TBA
Smokers:
- Thursday, January 28th - Social Smoker @ Cuatro's on 24th & San Gabriel. Time: 10pm - 12am
- Saturday, January 30th - Spirit Smoker (Basketball Tailgate) @ the Frank Erwin Center. Time: 12 PM
- Wednesday, February 3rd - Service Smoker @ 6pm. Location TBA
Tabling Events:
- January 11th - New Student Transfer Orientation in West Mall. Time: 8am - 2pm
- January 19th to February 1st - Tabling in West Mall. Time: Monday - Friday 11am - 2pm
Applications are due on February 5th, 2010, by 5pm at the Texas Union Student Events Center, 4th floor.
