Texas Dance needs your help! Each spring, team members go out into the Austin community in search of businesses to sponsor us. Although we do receive university funding, we need help putting together our Spring Show and getting enough money to compete. Monetary donations are what we primarily look for, but if your business would like to help us out in a different way we would love to hear your ideas! If you aren't a business owner and want to help us out, we would love your support as well. We need all the help we can get!

 

Why do we need so much money?

This year, we are going to competition for the first time since 1998. We have a talented group of dancers that are capable of winning regional and national titles, so long as we can afford to send them to compete! Costs can range from $100-$300 per girl for a weekend of competition, not including travel expenses and costumes. For our spring show, theatre costs can run up to $3,000 alone! Also, we have to purchase publicity materials such as banners, flyers, and programs to spread word about the show! We also need money to host social and philanthropic events including new member retreat and parties at the Austin Children's Hospital.

 

How can you help?

Become one of our sponsors! By making a tax-deductible donation to our team, you are supporting a group of self-run UT students who are actively involved in the University and around Austin. All Texas Dance publicity materials will bear your name as a sponsor and we will link your business on the website. If you wish to donate as a family member or friend of the team, you certainly may do so as well. We will mention your name right alongside our Corporate Sponsors, you are just as important to us as they are!

Silver........... $101-$500

Gold........... $501-$1,000

Platinum........... $1,001+

Great! We can only accept cash or checks made out to the UT Dance Team, and your donation is tax-deductible. To donate, contact the team member who told you about our sponsorship program, or if you have not yet been contacted by a team member, contact director Brooke Carpin. We are always looking for new ideas, so please let us know if you would like to donate in a different way!
