About the Real World

Some students come to college looking to keep a strong faith in Christ in a liberal environment.  Others are looking for a contemporary relevance of the bible that they can apply to their own lives.  Many others are still searching for the truth of who God is. "The Real World" large group bible study addresses all of these needs.  By providing biblical tips for having a close relationship with God while maintaining a balance in their academic lives, this bible study is essentially preparing students for life in "The Real World."  For students who are still searching for the truth, this bible study gives relevant answers and explanations of the life of Jesus Christ that can help in their search and decision-making.  For those who are looking to continue in their walk with God, this bible study will give them the spiritual strength to continue to believe in Jesus despite their surroundings.

This powerful bible study consists of a short icebreaker, vibrant praise and worship, and a dynamic message that delivers God's word in a language that is easy for today's student to understand.

Topics

Every week, we address topics that are real and effect college students. Some are controversial. Topics may also change depending on the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Worship

Every week, our vibrant praise and worship is lead by LeAnn Jenkins, President of Innervisions Gospel Choir. As a ministry dedicated to serving the African community as well as the African American, every week we sing traditional worship songs from different African countries.

We are currently seeking musicians. If you play any instrument, keyboard/piano, guitar, drums, etc, we are looking for you! Please contact LeAnn at ldjenkins86@mail.utexas.edu
