TPP, the peer-reviewed, student-edited journal of the Américo Paredes Center for Cultural Studies at the University of Texas, is currently accepting abstracts and submissions from UT graduate students for a volume themed on “SURVIVAL” What does it mean to survive in the age - however defined - that we live in? All individual and collective survivors are welcome. Just to name a few: Wars, slavery, torture, rape, genocide, cancer, AIDS, disaster, accident, trauma, primal loss. Related themes: Risk and uncertainty; recovery and healing; memory, community and publics; cultural and archaeological remains; heroism and victomhood; modernity and disenchantment; body, senses, and emotions; subject formation.
