Texas Belles was founded in 2002 by a group of University of Texas at Austin women. The organization was originally called Texas Wedding Belles. As members of our organization became more interested in the hospitality industry as a whole, we became known as the Texas Belles.

As a member of Texas Belles, you will gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry through on-campus and off-campus events with industry professionals. We hold a number of workshops on resumes, cover letters and interviewing etiquette at our weekly meetings.

As a professional organization, Texas Belles aims to provide our members with the skills necessary to become creative and successful event planners. We also strive to foster a fun and friendly atmosphere where our members have the opportunity to meet other students with similar interests.

Texas Belles members host social and professional events throughout the fall and spring semesters at the university. Our social events are created by members for members (and their guests). The professional events that we host are organized and executed by members but also include the presence of hospitality industry professionals. Both types of events give Texas Belles members the opportunity to plan an event from start to finish.

Texas Belles is a great organization to join whether you are interested in becoming a corporate event planner, wedding planner, a hospitality industry professional or the best party planner among all your friends.
