Coaches Braisted/Krentler continue to dominate Austin running scene
Texas Crew's novice men's coaching staff continues to win both on and off the water. Coaches Jon Braisted and Bob Krentler finished 1st and 3rd in the their age bracket over the 12 races of the 2006 Summer Stampede 5k series. Their age group, 25-29 was the most competitive and highly subscribed. At one point places 2nd-4th were tied to the 10th of a second. Braisted eventually ran away with first, while Krentler fought off strong competition for third, two seconds out of second place. This marks the second major running event in Austin where Texas Crew's coaches (who only work out twice a week) finished in the mix for the gold. The previous was the marathon relay, where were it not for David Alviar's weak performance after a solid week of trash talking, we'd have had yet another massive trophy for our mantles.
