Texas Crew traveled to New Orleans, Louisana over spring break for the ACRA South Challange, hosted by Tulane. Participating crews included Texas, Tulane, and Vanderbilt. The Novice men's 8 had a solid performance with 2 victories, as did the Varsity Men's 4s. Full results are available on Row2k's offical site.
Austin Rowing Club hosted thier yearly 1K regatta, the Heart of Texas. All squads had boats race, including the Novice Women's first race of the year. The Varisty Women's 4 qualified for the Grand Final and came within seconds of victory. Full results are avialable at ARC's offical site.

Texas Crew is opening recruiting to all undergraduate students for the 2012 Spring racing season. Women's and Men's squads are both seeking recruits.
No experience necessary, but a competitive drive and willingness to work hard to earn the right to race in burnt orange are mandatory. In your first semester you will race against dozens of collegiate crews at regattas in Austin, TX; New Orleans, LA; Oak Ridge, TN; and the American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championship in Gainesville, GA.

Texas Crew travelled to Chattanooga, Tennessee last weekend to compete against collegiate crews from across the country. The Women's Varsity 4+ earned a bronze medal in the Women's Club 4+. The men performed strongly as well, including a 4th place finish in the Men's Lightweight 4+. Full results are available online at the regatta's offical site.

Texas Crew raced on its home waters at The Head of the Colorado, know as Pumpkinhead, over the weekend. The Women's Varisty posted a strong result with 6th place in the Open 4+, as well as enetering 3 competitive pairs. The Varisty Men's squad took first in the 4+, 8+, and pair events. The Novice Men's squad posted strong results in thier first-ever race, including 2nd place in the 4+ and 1st in the 8+. Full results available here.
Texas Crew sent it's Men's Varsity 8 to the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA. The HOCR is one of the largest regattas in North America, with over 1,750 boats racing over the weekend. Texas Crew took 31st place in the Collegiate Men's 8 event. Results are availabe at the HOCR's website, here.
