EVENT: GM#13 - OFFICER ELECTIONS |

DETAILS: Don't miss out on our last meeting of the year!
Officer Elections will be taking place at this meeting and will start
promptly at 7:00 p.m., please do not be late. Remember
that you may only run for three (3) positions and that you must
prepare your speech and/or campaign to be no longer than 3-4 minutes.
Only paid UFG members are allowed to run for office and vote.
You must be present at the time of elections to run.
Again, you must fill out an application to be able to run and
they are due on April 19th at 6:00 p.m. to Jenny Ung via email, in
person, or UFG mailbox. There are no exceptions. To
download an application form, go to the "Forms" category up above.

DETAILS: The officers will each discuss what their positions
entail. If you are interested in running for officer, it is
highly recommended that you attend this meeting. Officer
applications will still be available at this meeting and also online
in the "Forms" category up above until the deadline. This is the
last meeting before the election, so if you have any questions and/or
comments, this is the time to ask! Also, for those of you paid
members who have not received your T-Shirt, they will be available at
this meeting. |

EVENT: GM#11 - Committees |

DETAILS: We will be breaking up into the committee groups for
the upcoming spring fashion show. After the announcements, the
Art, Public Relations, and Model committees will discuss their plans,
details, and responsibilities concerning the fashion show. If
you have not signed up for a committee, but still would like to
participate in making this year's fashion show a success, it is not
too late! Please speak to Jenny Ung for the Art Committee,
Christina Nguyen for the Model/Dressers Committee, and Hunter Lohse
for the PR Committee. The fashion show is about 4 weeks away and
we will need all the help we can get! Also, T-shirts for those
paid members who have not received theirs yet will be available at
this meeting! |

DETAILS: Please come
out to hear up-and-coming designer Tomer Gendler speak. Tomer
Gendler is a men's wear clothing designer from Austin, TX and has been
featured in several fashion magazines including "DNR" magazine.
In January, Tomer was awarded Fashion Group International's "Rising
Star Award" beating out several other talented designers.
Come listen to him speak while enjoying food & refreshments! |

Bowling Night! |

DETAILS: Meet at Burdine 208 first to listen to announcements.
Afterwards, we will proceed to the TX Union for a fun night of
bowling! Please bring a pair of socks and $1.25 for shoe
rentals, UFG will subsidize everything else. (This event is for
paid UFG members only). Also, we are still taking submissions
for the fashion show stage design! Please submit your
suggestions, ideas, and/or designs to Jenny Ung, the Art Director via

VEN SHOE SALON EVENT |

"VEN Shoe Salon" and
UFG are hosting an after hours social event on Thursday, April 27th
from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. At this event, all paid UFG members will
receive a 15% discount on shoe samples which are all size 7! You
will be able to shop around in the boutique as well, so don't let the
shoe size get your spirit down. There will be Hors d'oeuvres and
refreshments so please come out, shop, and show your support for UFG
and VEN, it will be a fun event! |

METAMORPHOSIS |
|
The Division of Textiles and Apparel in the Department of Human
Ecology is proud to present to you
METAMORPHOSIS the theme to this year's annual spring
fashion show spectacular! This event is sponsored by the
University CO-OP Society, MAC Cosmetics, and Pink. Come show
your support for the graduating senior designers on April 22nd at the
Frank Erwin Center. The exhibition doors will open at 5:00 p.m.
and the fashion show will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. Admission
is FREE and this event is open to anyone and everyone! |

UFG ELECTIONS |
|
Interested in a leadership position?
Here's your chance! UFG will be holding their annual officer
elections on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00 p.m. in Burdine 208. To
run for office, you must first fill out an officer application which
is now available at the "FORMS" tab above, or click
HERE. All eleven officer positions are open!
Please be prepared to give a
3-4 minute speech and bring any materials (posters, fliers, hand-outs,
etc) that will help your candidacy. Also, you are allowed to apply
for no more than three (3) positions. After all of the candidates are
finished speaking for their desired positions, paper ballots will be
cast and the new officer will be announced shortly after.
All
applications are due on Tuesday, April 19th at 6:00 p.m. to Jenny Ung
via email, UFG mailbox, or in person. There are no exceptions. |

UFG LUNCHEON |
|
Following the fashion show and officer
elections, UFG would like to thank its faculty, sponsors, members, and
anyone and everyone who helped make the annual spring fashion show a
success by hosting a luncheon in their honor. The luncheon will
be held on Wednesday, April 27th from 12:30
PM to 2:30 PM in the Gearing Courtyard.
We encourage everyone who participated in the fashion show as
well as the newly elected UFG officers to come to the luncheon.
It will be a nice opportunity for everyone to get to know each other
and also a nice way to wrap up the end of the semester. Check
