Texas Longhorn Chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary

History

NRHH stands for National Residence Hall Honorary. The NRHH is the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. NACURH, as an organization, truly believes that recognition is a must in a strong residence hall community. As such, NRHH is there to make sure that we do not forget to give those needed and more than deserved pats on the back.

The basic way NRHH works on campus is through a chapter. The Texas Longhorn NRHH Chapter is the official chapter of The University of Texas at Austin and was formed in October 2002 by the current governing URHA Executives. TLNRHH recognizes those top leaders through membership. All NRHH chapters are restricted to 1% of students living in the residence halls at each university.

TLNRHH also rewards the outstanding on-campus individuals and groups who enhance the residence hall experience through recognition programs and the selection of Of The Month awards. In the 2003-04 year, TLNRHH won 7 regional honorable mentions, 15 regional OTMs, and 5 national OTMs.
