Welcome
Safe Space is a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight alliance within the residence halls of University of Texas at Austin. We are dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of sexuality and of gender issues by providing a “safe space” to explore and speak openly.
Safe Space is also an ally development organization dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding about sexual orientation and gender identity by providing education and training to students, DHFS, UT Austin, and surrounding communities.
