The Purpose of Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc.

The women of Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. have established the following vision for ourselves, our campus, our city, the world and the body of Christ as a whole. We trust that this vision will expand as God expands our ministry; and we have and will maintain an unswerving faith in the goodness of God knowing that all these things will come to pass when and how He sees fit.

OUR ORGANIZATION

• Our members will be exceptional examples of Christian womanhood for one another so that they will inspire each other to become not just women, but women of God.

• We will exemplify true sisterhood in Christ by sharing the love of God with one another through fellowship.

• We will rise to the unique calling God has on our lives as Christian women by utilizing our God-given talents to enhance His kingdom.

OUR CAMPUS

• All Christian organizations will come together to intercede for our student population.

• Members of various Christian organizations will take an uncompromising stand for Christ daily.

• All Christians on campus will be well equipped with God’s Word so that they can be effective witnesses. This will be accomplished with, among other things, Bible studies and seminars/classes on effective witnessing techniques.

• Our campus will be saturated with the Gospel. As a result, many souls will be saved and the body of Christ will continue to grow.

OUR CITY

• The women of Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. will be a vital part of the city’s efforts to help the less fortunate through volunteer services and fundraising efforts that will enable us to contribute to various reputable charities.

• We will also minister to children, the elderly, the incarcerated, and all others in need, to bring about a positive change in these areas in our city.

THE WORLD

• Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. will be a vehicle through which the love of God will be expressed to the world.

• We will establish other chapters on other campuses, with members who are like-minded in their efforts to be all that Jesus called them to be: “ The light of the world, and the salt of the earth”.

THE BODY OF CHRIST AS A WHOLE

• Christians everywhere will come into the full realization of who they are and the power they have in Christ.

• We, as brothers and sisters in Christ, will uplift and encourage one another instead of condemning each other.

• The body of Christ will be the answer to a dying world.

We, the women of Alpha Lambda Omega Christian Sorority, Inc. , believe that “without a vision the people perish”. Realizing the truth of this statement, we have established this vision so that we may be productive in practicing our roles as Christians: to speak the message of “ abundant life” to a hungry world (Proverbs 29:18).
