This section contains further information about kendo that I have acquired over the years from books and lessons from Sensei and various Sempais. It is also (hopefully) a cross-section of the lifestyle of the UTKA and AKD. We hope that it will be This page will be constantly updated and tweaked as I add more and more stuff to it. Enjoy!

Back from NYC.. my god I'm never going to do that much driving again.. at least not by myself.. (it was 34 hours of almost straight driving to get there... more than 4000 miles round trip..) hehe.. but I did have a great time and met some great people out there. Special thanks to Kataoka-sensei, Michael Moscoso, Mike Quinn and Tsushima-sensei!.. Anyways!!.. IT IS TIME TO PREPARE FOR OUR TOURNAMENT.!!!..  I will be the tournament coordinator, so if anybody has any concerns or questions please feel free to contact me at 512-619-8762 or at utkendo@www.utexas.edu Anybody who wishes to help out or contribute in some way.. please LET ME KNOW!.. Good luck to us all in preparing mentally, physically, and organizationally for the tournament!!

Well, I'm going Dojo-storming. So far I'll be visiting Tsushima-sensei in North Carolina and then up to New York City. The trip will take probably a week and it will be a very challenging drive.. especially since nobody's wanting to drive with me.. (sigh).. anyways.. please wish me luck and give me a call if you feel like keeping me from getting too sleepy on the road.

We're back from LA!!.. It was a very exciting and fun trip to which we owe many debts of gratitude to many people (especially Yuji-sempai and Kazumi-san.) We also have a lot to practice and prepare for our tournament which will be hosted here in Austin this coming fall. This brings me to the next point: WE HAVE TO SERIOUSLY BEGIN PREPARING FOR THE TOURNAMENT!. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of practicing to be done. We are good at both these things, but there is every reason for us to become BETTER!.. Anyways.. if and of you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact us. ALSO!.. Some of us will be practicing almost everyday so if some of you have the time and motivation, please give me a call (Paul 619-8762). benkyo benkyo!!
