Volunteering

Explore UT is an event held on campus that is known as "The Biggest Open House in Texas" because it gives everyone from elementary to high school kids (as well as their parents) an opportunity to see what UT is all about and what we have to offer. WIM will have a booth that will teach about heart health. We will also be taking people's blood pressures and handing out stickers/temporary tattoos to the kids.

 

SCIENCE SUNDAY-MARCH 4th

Science Sunday is an event hosted by the Children's Museum. I will only need a few volunteers to help me put on a display for the kids and teach them about organs, organ location, and body systems. Be aware that this is on aSUNDAY and that I am not completely sure of the time just yet. As soon as I am given that information, I will let you girls know. It will probably run for about 3-5 hours during the day. In the meantime,

In order to make this possible, I'm also going to need you guys to donate for volunteer credit the following items:

-Construction Paper (colored)

-Crayons

-Markers

-Masking Tape

For every $10 you spend, I will give you 1 credit of volunteering. Please label your donations and attach a receipt so that I may know who to give the credit to. I will accept donations at the next meeting and/or you can drop off these items on the 4th floor of the SSB in cubicle R4. 

I'd like to remind anyone who is interested in ushering for the Girls or Boys UIL State Tournament. If you usher for one shift, you will complete your entire fundraising credit. I've decided to extend the deadline for signing up (email me) to Thursday, 2/23, but the shifts may not be guaranteed. Please email me soon if you would like to usher for one of the following times:
