	Hi VSA and future VSA members! I'm sorry for the lack of updates during the summer. I PROMISE to have the new site up before summer's end. I am working on it right now, but I got a little busy....and a little lazy. Also, the new exec board is VERRY excited about the upcoming year. It will be a great year, so don't miss out. For all you incoming freshman, VSA is tabling at orientation every Tueday during the summer. If ya'll have any questions please come and visit. We can answer any questions you might have regarding VSA or anything college related in general. Also, the contact list is updated with the new officers' contact information, so you guys can e-mail us with any questions too.

	Hey everybody, Don't forget that there is a VSA carwash tomorrow from 12-4 pm at the McDonalds on MLK by Guadalupe. Come out and support VSA and your fellow VSAers. Car washes are always a lot of fun. People getting wet. Girls in bikinis. There's nothing to lose! So come out and support! If you can't make it out to help, bring your car out to get it washed and tell all your friends to come.

	We're doing things a little differently with Black April this year. Black April is an annual gathering of numerous numbers of undergraduate students on campus to commemorate the FALL OF SAIGON. This year we will be holding the event off campus to bring more awareness to the Austin Community. The event will be held at Tien Hong resturant off of Burnet. We will have a show filled with great singers, dancers, speaker, and memories of Vietnam. Food will be served and all profits will go to a Vietnamese Veterans. If anyone has any questions, please contact Vy at vsablackapril@yahoo.com Tickets will go on sale this Thursday at the VSA meeting & other locations like Mi Video... in Austin!!! Cost $15 (students), $25 (adult & @ the door).

	40 acres fest was a blast guys! VSA had a great booth idea this year and shame on all of you that didn't come out. Pictures are up. More importantly, Texas Revue is this week. OMG! OMG! OMG! Everybody come out and support all your VSAers. Tell everybody you know to vote for us! (and don't forget about the meeting on Thurs. has been moved to 7 pm)

	The intern pictures are up! Everybody should go check out their pretty little faces. It looks a little messy right now, hopefully it will be better when I fill in those question marks. Also, please mark the change in the meeting time for next week. We will have the meeting a little early, so we can all head over to the main together to support VSA!

	Jester Tables All Week

	I just wanted to inform everybody that we will be in Jester all week from 9 am-2 pm to collect dues from those of you that haven't paid yet. Dues are $20 for the entire year and includes a FREE shirt. After the second meeting, this rate will be no more; the dues will be $15 each semester, which does not include a t-shirt. The t-shirt will cost $10. Comments or suggestions? Come by and talk to us!

	VSA First General Meeting

	The first update of the new layout, yay! I just wanted to say thank you for all those that came out to the first meeting. I thought it was a great success. For those that haven't paid dues yet don't worry just bring your money to the next meeting. We have a lot planned for the rest of the year, so don't miss a beat. VSA doesn't dissapoint. Don't forget, meetings are every other week on thursdays which makes the next meeting on Sept 23.
