About Us
Who we are
The Women's Resource Center (WRC) is an agency of Student Government. The WRC
was founded in 1997 as a centralized, easily accessible place for women at UT
to find resources to solve their problems, address their needs, and achieve
their goals. The mission of the WRC is to create a safe place that addresses
the needs of women of all backgrounds, races, classes, ages, sexual orientations,
political ideologies, religious beliefs, and physical abilities. The WRC raises
awareness of and facilitates open discussion about gender issues by providing
a forum to explore and exchange ideas and experiences among members of the UT
community. The WRC also establishes a supportive network of campus and community
resources for women.
The WRC Coalition is the group of student volunteers which staffs and runs
the WRC. Our goal is to establish a vital, diverse, growing community of students
which make the WRC a stronger force for women's community and equality at UT.
