Resurrection Week
Resurrection Week (also called "Rez Week") occurs annually on campuses all across the
United States during the week preceeding Easter Sunday. During Rez Week, students gather to lift
up and proclaim the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. College ministries unite for times of
outdoor corporate worship and prayer beyond chruch walls. Cooperative outreaches are
organized to completely saturate the campus with the Gospel. Rez Week serves as a catalyst
for ongoing cooperative efforts between the Christ-centered ministries involved with a
college or university campus.
Twenty college and university campuses in eleven different states participate in the
celebration. In 1999, many campuses were linked via live satellite for a national collegiate
worship celebration. Overall, in 1999, 17,000 students participated in Rez Week on forty
campuses in 19 different states.
Prayer for RezWeek
If you are unable to physically help the Christian Council RezWeek Teams
put together this year's RezWeek celebrations, you can help spiritually. Every member of
every team is personally asking you to pray for the RezWeek teams.
